Email your Representatives and Senators about Obamacare!

Here’s what I sent to mine:

Dear XXX. XXXXXXX,

Last night during the broadcast of the MLB All-Star Game, President Obama was asked to offer his theory as to why the American League has been on a long winning streak in the Mid-summer classic.  In his response, the President jokingly replied that he could not afford to bailout the National League because we’re out of money.

It’s not that much of a joke.

This morning, the internet and radio talk shows are all abuzz over the recently unveiled $1.5 Trillion health care bill that the President wants to hastily push through legislation.

If we are “out of money”, how can we continue to spend this way?

There has to be a better, more fiscally-sound, way to fix what is broken about the American health care industry (while leaving alone that which works, e.g., competition and patient choice).  If this bill passes, it will adversely affect the quality of health care for most Americans — to say nothing of the adverse affects it will have on the economy!  Once it becomes law, there will be no dialing it back…just like Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security and every other “entitlement program” it will quickly run out of money (money that the President admits we already don’t have!) and it will be politically impossible to cut.   Our children and grandchildren will have to live with its consequences forever.  From that point forward, the only changes  that will ever be made are ones that will only make a bad program worse.

We can stop this from happening.  Please vote NO…and please convince your colleagues to join you in opposition to Obamacare.

Thank you for your consideration,

XXXXXX XXXX
